I can't believe its March already.  Only 16 days until Saint Patricks Day.  Mr. W seems to always know when it is March, he goes crazy over these McDonald's Shamrock Shakes (well until they changed the formula).  Anyway, he and I have developed our own versions of the Shamrock Shake. This is Chad's adult version of the Shamrock shake.  I will share mine very soon! Recipe adapted from several recipes found on the web Shamrock Shake Cocktail 1 ounce Absolut vodka 2 ounces Creme de Menthe (this is where the gorgeous green color comes from) 2 scoops vanilla ice cream Combine ice cream, vodka and creme de menthe in blender.  Blend until mixture is thick and pourable.  Pour in a large glass and serve with a straw. Southwestern Turkey Meatloaf

Gambar
Happy Monday Slow Roasters!  Today is On The Lighter Side at .  I would like to share with you a new meatloaf I created. We surely love meatloaf in this house, but I get a little tired of the old bakud Meatloaf with Balsamic Glaze which happens to be Chad's kesukaane dish that I make and Munchkins kesukaane 3 Ingredient Meatloaf  so, I decided to give some new flavors a try and I developed this incredibly flavorful and delicious Southwestern Turkey Meatloaf.  It is a great low calorie option as it only has 267 calories per serving and 8 grams of fat. We love it so much I made it a 12 serving dish, so we could freeze half.  But the other half never made it to the freezer.  We ate it for 4 meals straight!  It was delicious with some spicy refried beans and some corn.  Enjoy! Southwestern Turkey Meatloaf (serves 12) 2 lbs lean turkey 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs 4 egg whites 8 ounces diced green chiles (pureed), reserve 1 tbsp 1 1/4 cup enchilada sauce, di

- A Look Back At The Week Of March 19

Hello and Happy Saturday Slow Roasters.  We had a great week here at .  We have been trying new recipes and still loving old ones.  Gardening has been exciting as we watch these little buds emerge.  I am happy to say that it looks like at least 12 of the bakteri plants are sprouting.  The tomato plants are looking good.  We have about 10 or 11 tomatoes sprouted, along with some peppers (Italian bell to habenero).  Mostly everything else is taking its time. This week we had 5 amazing recipes and incredibly mouth watering pictures to go with them.   So are you curious what everyone has been checking out all week? The Peanut Butter Cup Delight Cocktail has been out most popular post this week.  It is in insanely delicious and decadent rendition of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in a glass.  Try one!  Trust me you won't be disappointed. Perfect Every Time Pork Roast was a great tutorial (with a recipe) about how to cook your pork loin.  Baked on a high temperature to

Happy Wednesday Slow Roasters!  It has been a fabulous week here at TSRI.  We have been gardening, cooking, eating, having family time and cooking some more.  Recently we have been cooking incredible recipes from a really cool blog. Herbie Likes Spaghetti which is written and developed by Bryan, YiRan, Herbie and Pepper.  Herbie and Pepper are the feline furbabies of Bryan and YiRan. It is really great to find blogs that are more of a team effort.  With the added benefits of an Italian inspired blog, with the cutest furbaby pictures ever they won me over.  The fabulous food really put me over the top, recipes like The Best Spaghetti all'Amatriciana which I have on the sajian for next week.  I am so excited to try this dish! Planting in my beautiful new garden! So as I was scouring delicious recipes casually perusing their blog, I must have been on a Mexican food kick.  Although I bookmarked Mario's Meatballs, Veal Scallopini Picata, and Sausage with Olive and Fenne
